D2C4H Before 2009

Dare to Care for the Homeless started as a church group at  St. Athanasius Catholic Church in North Long Beach. Before its incorporation in 2009, it consisted of  a group of about 80 youth leaders and 20 adults that took food to the homeless at skid row once a week.  Skid row is in area in Downtown Los Angeles  with a homeless population of approximately 10,000 people.

Charity Events

After 2009, Dare to Care for the Homeless did public charity events such as food drives. Other public charity events such as concerts to help raise awareness about the work of Dare to Care for the Homeless form part of our history.

Creating Community

D2C4H Before 2009

Virtual Volunteering

Our charity events help create community by getting neighbors to know each other while volunteering for a worthwhile cause. The support of the local community is greatly appreciated by the less fortunate.

Virtual Volunteering

Virtual Volunteering

Dare to Care for the Homeless provides virtual volunteer opportunities for people anywhere in the world. Song writers, music professionals, voice over talent, accountants, lawyers and business leaders form part of our international alliance.

Bra Drive for Woman's Shelter

Due to a great need for Bras and underpants for the woman at the shelter Dare to Care for the Homeless developed a new campaign to collect bras and underpants named "Bras to Help the Cause".

We continue to grow

In 2019, Dare to Care for the Homeless plans to continue to grow both domestically and internationally. We are looking for more people that are passionate about giving back and serving people experiencing homelessness.
