About Us - I Love PV Estates

I Love PV Estates is all about the people, places and history of Palos Verdes Estates located in Souther California. A community organization ran by volunteers that live and/or work in Palos Verdes Estates. It is a resource for anybody that wants to learn more about this community and network with its inhabitants. 

Introduction to Palos Verdes Estates

Jotham Bixby  purchased the land from the Sepulveda family in about the year 1880 .  The land was inherited by George Bixby, the son of Jotham Bixby in 1894.

Palos Verdes Estates is one of Americas first  tightly planned and monitored communities. It was built to be a refuge from the busy and hectic city life.

According to the 2000 U.S. Census, Palos Verdes Estates is the 81st richest place in the United States . It has a little over 4,000 households.

It is the home to notable people like Andderson Silva, the formere UFC Midleweight Champion.
